A psychological detective story “Nikonov & Co” has it all: bloodcurdling crimes, sly villains and unusual investigation team. But the most interesting is the investigator dealing with lost cases - Sergei Nikonov. Got shot in the spine, Nikonov has become disabled. Brilliant detective, sharp mind, strong personality... and a cynical scoundrel. Wheelchair-bound detective continues to fight against criminals and himself. The video conveys an internal monologue of the hero, where a psychopath is struggling with a professional. Pen shoots, paper reveals, paperclips dig... The consciousness of the hero has split into multiple fragments. Words that appear on the pieces of paper – are his confession, revelation, and a cry for help. Objects in the shot are not 3D-models. The knife, cardboard, paper and paperclips are real. Tangible texture of familiar things resonates with a viewer at a subconscious level. The video ends with the image of a keyhole: the hero hides from the world and at the same time invites us to look into the world of his nightmares.
