Ora is more than a mobile app. It is the first and only values-driven cancer care ecosystem; a virtual oncology clinic was designed to take care of cancer patients 24/7, providing round-the-clock and operational communication. And it does — the Ora app has access to a dedicated nurse, real-time symptom management and nutrition plans, palliative care, and telemedicine-based behavioral health programs. Our direct task was to cover all these functions with one harmonious and the most convenient design, taking into account patients' characteristics and their possible physical limitations and making the app UI recognizable using the corporate brand identity. Following the brand style-guide, we integrated the brand voice and metaphor into the interface design using graphical techniques for user interactions and the application. We put a survey about well-being on a bright background that attracts the user's attention, and minimalistic outline icons are easy to read and don't look childish at the same time. We focused our attention on a chat as it is one of the app's most important workplaces. We wanted to make it look as bright as possible, that is why we highlighted information and colored patients’ messages. The application helps solve different pains by providing communication with the clinical team, giving personal medical data, examining results, and supporting materials. Moreover, a symptom tracker allows us to monitor the patient's condition and manage symptoms in the shortest possible time. We were lucky to join Ora on such an important mission, even though we handled only the design part! Can you imagine? There is no need to go to the clinic to get a quality consultation — the Ora telemedicine app covers these needs online. And if necessary, it can arrange an offline appointment at the clinic convenient for the patient.
