You can call Zenia a yoga app, but in fact, it's more than that. It is a real virtual yoga studio. Why is it so? Besides online lessons, users get real-time feedback on their moves and poses. Our design team was impressed by this app's functionalities, but it was also necessary to make its features as clear and intuitive as possible. Though many of our designers do yoga, we tried to take a look at yoga practice with a beginner's eyes. We figured out that usually, he/she sees the decision to practice yoga as the beginning of a path full of fears and obstacles. Then we selected the three most common questions users ask: — How can I get an effective program? — How do I know if I'm doing the exercises correctly? — How can I measure my progress? And decided to help them find answers using that language we know best — the design language. Zenia helps to overcome all three obstacles by generating a personalized training program, showing if you are doing exercises correctly, and measuring progress by motivating you to keep on training. Artificial intelligence and innovative motion-tracking technology make this possible. Zenia becomes a guide that shows the best paths and demonstrates that yoga practice is just as easy as connecting two dots. People who start doing yoga most often don't know where to begin and where to go; their starting point and the final goal seem vague too. Therefore, we decided to use a metaphor of a path, and a user is a traveler who uses Zenia to achieve their final destination or goal. The metaphor connects all the key points of the user's journey: building a program, doing exercises, tracking progress. The idea of a guide is also reflected in a built-in app chatbot, through which the central communication takes place, and feedback from the user is received to pave the right path. Be sure, Zenia doesn't focus on beginners only. We designed it with no practice level, gender or age restrictions at all. Zenia is equally intuitive for young people and seniors, for confident users and new ones.
