TEDx is an independent conference of ideas organized by any city or university. This year Ukraine will host TEDxNaUKMA with the ‘ambiguity’ theme. So it needs an identity. Most TEDx visual styles are based on brand colors — black, red, and white, and the letter X. For NaUKMA, we wanted to create a style that would speak of belonging to TEDx while transferring the conference theme. We associated ‘ambiguity’ with an abstract, concise form and compared the topic with the phenomenon of graffiti removal — a process that by hiding old creates new senses.
