In 2010 ADV Group Ukraine launched ADV University, a special educational program that consisted of three simultaneous projects. It was a multi-level system of practical master-classes, workshops, lectures and other educational practices for the agencies’ employees and clients. The program aimed to give participants the opportunity to broaden their knowledge in practically any field. Everything went great, but that just wasn’t enough. Besides the common title the program didn’t have any unifying structure. There was no integral visual communication as well. The employees have been just attending continuous trainings about something to learn something during the whole year (4 years to be precise). Something had to be changed. That’s why we created College of Something in the place of the ADV University. Everything here follows the standard college principle: an employee himself chooses the topic he or she would like to study. It can be either of 3 courses that emerged: Smth Inspirational, Smth Professional, Smth Managing. This approach to the employees’ education proved to be effective right from the start. By the abstract “something” we meant the absence of limits in self-education; after all, learning “something” can go on infinitely. Besides that, there are no borders between disciplines: one area of knowledge flows into another and is connected with everything else in the world. The updated visual code and clear naming of the educational sub-programs allowed us to make studying simpler and bring in more young staff to COS. Ever since we frequently say: study something, know everything.
